Telehealth therapy available for all California and Washington D.C. Residents.
Meet Yael Eiserike
A former lawyer turned therapist helping attorneys in California and Washington DC find balance, clarity, and connection in both their careers and their lives.
Hello, I’m Yael
As a former lawyer now practicing as a therapist, I bring a unique perspective to the challenges attorneys face. I understand the culture of billable hours, the pressure to always be available, and the constant drive to prove yourself—because I lived it before I chose this career. That background allows me to meet clients with both professional insight and therapeutic support, without needing you to translate the realities of firm life.
Now, I work primarily with attorneys who want to excel in their careers without losing themselves in the process. Many of my clients come to therapy with anxiety, burnout, or insomnia, along with the quiet fear that “maybe this is just how it has to be.” Together, we look at how to manage the intensity of firm life while protecting your health, relationships, and sense of self.
How Therapy With Yael Works
Therapy with me is straightforward and practical. I don’t believe in generic advice or long-winded theory that doesn’t translate into your real life. Our work together will be focused, collaborative, and built to create strategies you can actually use both inside and outside the office.
What You Can Expect
Direct but compassionate: I’ll be honest with you, challenge unhelpful patterns, and do it with warmth and respect.
Grounded support: We’ll cut through the noise using humor, common sense, and a clear plan forward.
Tools that work in real life: You’ll leave sessions with strategies you can put into practice immediately, not ideas that only sound good on paper.
Accountability that sticks: Progress comes from small, consistent changes and I’ll help you stay focused on what matters most.
My goal is that you walk away from therapy not just feeling heard, but equipped to manage the intensity of your career while still protecting your health, relationships, and sense of self.

My Beliefs
I believe therapy should be practical, relatable, and tailored to you. It’s not about abstract theory or quick fixes but about creating a process that helps you live with more clarity and ease.
My approach integrates cognitive-behavioral techniques with common sense, humor, and lived experience. I want clients to feel empowered to assert their needs, push back on self-doubt, and build a version of balance that actually works for them.
While I focus on addressing what feels most urgent in the moment, I also care about long-term growth and fulfillment. Therapy with me isn’t just about solving today’s problems. It’s about creating lasting change so you can navigate life with resilience, compassion, and a sense of alignment with your values.
